About
I'm Jason Gilbreath — Chief Innovation Officer at MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a PE-backed firm where I lead Business Intelligence and Innovation.
Over the past twelve months, I've built and deployed 20+ production AI applications — not demos, not pilots, but systems running daily across the entire business. Before MedPro, I served as the first Chief Innovation Officer at Triage Staffing, where I helped lead the company from $120M to $1.2B in revenue during the pandemic-driven healthcare staffing surge. Before healthcare, I spent six years at First National Bank of Omaha leading transformation initiatives that contributed to $67M in profit improvement across an $11B enterprise.
Between those chapters, I built a company from scratch — Omaha's first reclaimed materials design and furniture business — because I needed to know what it felt like to build something with my hands before I could build systems that scale.
What connects all of it: I find the system underneath the problem, and I build the method to move past it. Right now, that means figuring out what happens when AI becomes operating infrastructure — not a feature, but the way the work gets done.

What I'm thinking about right now
- —What happens after you have 20+ AI products running simultaneously
- —How PE-backed companies should sequence AI transformation
- —Why the gap between AI adopters and AI-native operators is widening
- —The emerging role of the Chief AI Officer
