From AI Strategy to Human + AI Teams That Deliver
When Strategy Meets Reality
I've been reflecting lately on what it really takes to move from "AI strategy" to "Human + AI teams that deliver."
I ran into this most recently in my role as Chief Innovation Officer at MedPro. We had a challenge in our current tech stack. The data, structure, and systems wouldn't support the client insights we needed.
The first steps we had to take — gain a deep understanding of our data and the inherent challenges with it.
The Problem
A few small problems: No documentation, no dedicated data team, and no resources available to tackle the challenge.
Luckily we had three things going for us:
- We had just hired a strong Business Intelligence Analyst
- I had 6 years of healthcare staffing domain expertise
- Both of us were open to using AI-enabled tools to enhance our speed, depth, and strategy (and I had already been using Replit as an analytics co-pilot)
The Result
Fast forward to 2 months later and we delivered a Production Data Warehouse with schemas that would allow us to deliver the insights we needed.
All it took was a little creativity, some human insight, a bit of AI assistance, and two open minds.
